Driving Instructor Directory

The Fast Pass instructor directory is being developed and is not yet a public searchable list of instructor profiles.

Learners can send their requirements to Fast Pass, while qualified and legally licensed trainee instructors can register future interest.

Fast Pass currently handles enquiries personally.

At present:

  • there is no instant-booking directory;
  • there is no complete public instructor list;
  • there are no paid public profiles;
  • no exclusive area is promised;
  • no pupil volume is guaranteed;
  • learner enquiries are reviewed manually; and
  • instructors can register interest by email.

I Am a Driving Instructor

Looking for a driving instructor?

Use the Find a Driving Instructor page and provide:

  • your postcode;
  • town or area;
  • manual or automatic requirement;
  • current experience;
  • usual availability;
  • theory-test status;
  • practical-test details where applicable; and
  • the type of tuition required.

Fast Pass will check whether the enquiry can be covered directly or whether another potentially suitable instructor may be available.

No instructor or lesson availability is guaranteed.

Send Your Lesson Requirements

Interested in working with Fast Pass?

Qualified ADIs and legally licensed trainee instructors can register interest in possible future enquiries or opportunities.

Useful details include:

  • name and contact details;
  • ADI or trainee status;
  • areas covered;
  • manual or automatic tuition;
  • test centres covered;
  • current availability;
  • vehicle details; and
  • relevant experience or specialisms.

Registering interest does not guarantee employment, pupils, income, a paid listing or an exclusive territory.

Register Instructor Interest

How learner enquiries are handled

  1. The learner sends their requirements to Fast Pass.
  2. Fast Pass checks whether direct coverage may be possible.
  3. Where appropriate, a potentially suitable instructor may be contacted.
  4. The instructor decides whether they are interested and available.
  5. The learner is contacted where a possible option exists.
  6. Lesson arrangements are confirmed separately.

Sending an enquiry does not create a lesson booking.

How instructor interest is handled

  1. The instructor emails their professional details.
  2. Fast Pass records their areas, transmission type and availability.
  3. No immediate work is promised.
  4. Fast Pass may contact them when a relevant enquiry is received.
  5. The instructor confirms whether they can help.
  6. Any working or commercial arrangement is discussed separately.

What a future directory may include

Once enough genuine instructor participation exists, a directory may include:

  • instructor or business name;
  • areas covered;
  • manual or automatic tuition;
  • test centres covered;
  • lesson types;
  • availability information;
  • professional status;
  • a short approved profile; and
  • an enquiry route.

No instructor profile should be published without agreement and appropriate checks.

What the directory will not guarantee

  • an available instructor in every postcode;
  • an immediate lesson space;
  • a practical-test car;
  • a test result;
  • pupils for an instructor;
  • a particular income;
  • exclusive territory;
  • identical prices;
  • employment by Fast Pass; or
  • automatic acceptance of every instructor.

Checking an instructor

Anyone accepting payment for car-driving tuition should be legally authorised to provide it.

Learners can use the official GOV.UK service and can contact DVSA where an instructor is not publicly listed.

Manual and automatic lessons

Fast Pass currently provides manual tuition directly.

Automatic enquiries may still be submitted. Where an independent automatic instructor has registered interest and appears relevant to the learner’s postcode and availability, Fast Pass may check whether they can help.

Automatic coverage and pricing are not guaranteed.

Independent instructor prices

Independent instructors may set their own:

  • hourly rates;
  • lesson durations;
  • block prices;
  • payment terms;
  • cancellation policies;
  • test-day charges;
  • pick-up areas; and
  • availability.

Learners should confirm the complete arrangement before paying or booking.

Driving Instructor Directory FAQs

Is the Fast Pass directory fully live?

No. Learner and instructor enquiries are currently managed personally rather than through a complete searchable directory.

Can learners still ask for an instructor?

Yes. Use the Find a Driving Instructor page and provide the required lesson information.

Can instructors register now?

Yes. Qualified and legally licensed trainee instructors can register interest through the Work With Fast Pass page.

Does instructor registration guarantee pupils?

No. Enquiry levels, conversions, income and work cannot be guaranteed.

Are participating instructors employees?

Not necessarily. Future introductions may involve Fast Pass instructors or independent professionals under different arrangements.

Can learners book instantly?

No. An instructor must first confirm that they are available and willing to cover the enquiry.

Will areas be exclusive?

No exclusive territory is currently promised.

Why is this page noindex?

It does not yet contain enough genuine searchable profiles to justify appearing as a completed directory in search results.

Choose the correct route

Learners should use the enquiry page. Instructors should use the Fast Pass work page.
