Single driving lesson — £40
A single one-hour manual driving lesson costs £40.
This option may suit:
- new pupils checking availability and suitability;
- learners who prefer to pay lesson by lesson;
- partly trained pupils changing instructor;
- returning learners who need an initial assessment; and
- pupils who do not yet want to commit to a block.
Double driving lesson — £80
A two-hour manual driving lesson costs £80.
A longer lesson can provide more time to travel between different road environments, practise a subject repeatedly and review progress without rushing.
Two-hour lessons are not automatically the best choice for every learner. Concentration, experience, availability and lesson objectives should all be considered.

A block of 10 manual driving-lesson hours costs £380.
This works out at £38 per hour, saving £20 compared with paying for ten individual £40 lessons.
Block of 20 hours — £760
A block of 20 manual driving-lesson hours costs £760.
This works out at £38 per hour, saving £40 compared with paying for twenty individual lessons.
Block of 30 hours — £1,140
A block of 30 manual driving-lesson hours costs £1,140.
This works out at £38 per hour, saving £60 compared with paying for thirty individual lessons.
Block bookings can provide better value, but you do not need to purchase a large block before your postcode, availability and current experience have been discussed.

Which lesson option should I choose?
The right option depends on your experience, budget, availability and how regularly you plan to learn.
Pay-as-you-go lessons
Individual lessons provide flexibility and may suit a new pupil who wants to begin without purchasing a larger block immediately.
Ten-hour block
A ten-hour block may suit learners who want a lower hourly cost while keeping the initial commitment manageable.
Twenty or thirty-hour block
Larger blocks may suit complete beginners or learners planning a regular programme of tuition. However, the number of hours someone ultimately needs cannot be guaranteed in advance.
Lesson frequency also matters. Regular lessons usually make it easier to retain skills than repeatedly taking long breaks, although the best schedule depends on personal circumstances and current availability.
What is included in the lesson price?
Your Fast Pass driving-lesson price includes:
- one-to-one manual driving tuition;
- lesson planning based on your current ability;
- use of the tuition vehicle during the booked lesson;
- explanation and demonstration of new subjects;
- supervised practice;
- feedback on strengths and areas requiring improvement;

Do block bookings guarantee that I will pass?
No driving school can responsibly guarantee that a particular number of lessons will result in a pass.
Progress depends on factors including:
- previous experience;
- lesson frequency;
- confidence and concentration;
- private practice where available;
- ability to learn from feedback;
- the complexity of local roads;
- the length of breaks between lessons; and
- how consistently you can drive safely and independently.
A block booking purchases tuition time. It does not guarantee a test date, a specific result or use of the tuition vehicle before the required driving standard has been reached.
How many driving lessons will I need?
There is no reliable single figure that applies to every learner.
A complete beginner may require substantially more tuition than someone who has already developed safe control, observation and planning skills. Private practice can also affect progress, provided it is legal, properly supervised and reinforces safe habits.
Your progress should be reviewed through what you can do safely and independently—not simply by counting the hours completed.
Intensive and semi-intensive driving courses
Fast Pass also considers enquiries for intensive or semi-intensive manual driving courses.
An intensive course is not automatically suitable for every learner. Availability, previous experience, theory-test status, practical-test plans and the number of hours required must be considered first.
Completing a course quickly does not remove the need to reach a safe and consistent independent driving standard.
